For me the 'whip' is occurring into/through impact ... at that point the barrel has already been 'turned'.
whip is a verb in this context unless you implying that the bat turns into one at/through impact. That is the problem I have...using the phrase "the whip" makes
no sense if you are using whip as a verb. So you are saying you are only "whipping" the bat into/through contact?
