Thank you.

To clarify ... your 'early batspeed' occurs after you have predicted pitch location/speed and have launched your swing ... is that correct?

Right. Before launch your body is making small adjustments in body position (lead arm/shoulder etc ) based upon pitch read in order to allow you to launch from a position of power which can generate early batspeed and get the barrel to the ball at the same time.

Have you ever visited X factor circle? I have been down turn the barrel ave. It dead ends at 18u gold pl. with a big pothole at 1234 offspeed st. Just saying.

This looks like a lot of barrel turning and early bat speed to me...

DiCarlo, is currently batting .429 and leads in HRs (18).

Many of LSU's hitters are displaying similar mechanics/intents. Lots of comments have been made about the significant improvement in batting averages for the team.

There is a big difference. ‘Turn the barrel’ is commitment from/at the top. ‘Whip the barrel’ releases vary due to pitch location and speed and requires a hand path accompanied by ‘educated hands’.

When you use terms. Know what they mean. It only helps others not go down ‘rabbit holes’ they don’t wish to explore.

Kid must have kept you up all night last night. :)

Bold above... Not necessarily. A hitter wants to track the ball as long as possible before committing. TTB, by my definition, allows a hitter to create barrel acceleration quickly. Fine tuning can still occur. I don't know a single person on this site that promotes turning the barrel before tracking the ball.

I'm not understanding the issue with WW's wording of "turn the barrel is commitment from/at the top".

When one is turning the barrel, isn't it the case that the hands/forearms have bought into the goal of working the barrel?

Been all over X factor, slings, QL's, core, etc etc. It doesn't move the barrel quickly enough with correct direction and elite adjustibility. Those aforementioned things are all very nice supportive items wrt hitting. I coach in college and a couple of my best hitters are heavily invested in TTB.

Why only a couple of your hitters BM? Are others invested and not having success, or only a couple are invested and they are having a lot of success? Whatever the scenario, it doesn't seem that positive, :(

The word whip is a silly one to use with respect to swinging a fairly rigid object like a bat..that is my take.

I have no idea what "from/at the top" means so I don't know if I have issue with it. The top of what? My head? Desk drawer? The morning?
