That would have been cool for 16s.
What was always cool about PGF were the get togethers at the beach or somewhere after the team/season was done. The way things ended in Oklahoma had half the team looking in to getting their flights changed instead of staying a couple extra days to watch the 18s continue to play.
Best situation would be to put the Alliance Championships someplace better or if they're going to be in Oklahoma, have them in June instead of the Top Club Nationals. Didn't seem like this place was as miserable last month.

DD's org's 14U National team is in the Alliance final four. Need to double dip Firecrackers-Weil to make it to the championship. Won the first game. Second game is in 15 minutes (game should be livestreamed here https://www.facebook.com/athleticsnational2024 ) They may run out
of pitching though..they only use 2 kids and this is their 4th game today

Some, yes, but none of the top teams from those orgs in the 16U or 18U age group. The events overlap. I don't see how a team could play both.
I would consider some of the 16U and 18U FC and BB teams "B" level for those orgs. There certainly were some of the C teams, too. The D teams didn't qualify, or get invited. (IMO)

Yes, I am aware of the pacific coast fastpitch idea but that NEVER happened. The kids played in one Alliance Showcase in Phoenix, AZ around Halloween and then 1 Alliance qualifier tournament in Bullhead City, AZ. Other than that there was a showcase in College Station, TX where they earned some Alliance points.They have Regional leagues (Pacific Coast Fastpitch is the one in CA)..not sure if you are talking more local than that...

You play against teams from those leagues (and other member leagues) and you are awarded points for various types of results(wins in pool, wins in bracket, etc) The number of earned points seeds you in the League Championships from which they award berths. That is the gist of the qualifying system.
When we were pitched on Alliance we were told there would be midweek games and a few month long "seasons" of those. Instead we loaded the girls up every weekend to go to Arizona or Utah or farther.
They said there was an Alliance tie to TCS but the only TCS they really did was Zoom in to June Showcase and the TC National Championships in So Cal.
Obviously, California being what it is, there may have been other circumstances that kept the PCF from ever be anything more than an idea in 2020/2021

I can really only speak about the 16U teams on this point but the top 3 FC 16U teams, (Brashear, Brashear/Smith, Holcomb/Robinson) were all in the Tier 1. I'm not sure who the top BatBusters team is in 16 this year as we hadn't seen much from them this season but there were 3 in Tier 1. Mercado sent all of their Academy teams in 16 to Alliance but I do believe the B 18 team stayed home and played PGF, possibly didn't qualify. Top So Cal As team in 16 is Briggs, they went to Alliance. Corona Angels sent their best teams (Slye, Howard, FTS, Edwards...) to Alliance.
In 16s it seems that the only orgs that stayed home and played PGF were Explosion (for obvious reasons), Ohana and some of the smaller orgs like Choppers and Cruisers. But the best teams in So Cal 16s definitely went to Alliance this year

BB Lara 18U and Lara/Portesi 16U, I would consider a "B team, and both were at PGF. FC Brashear/Helms 16U is decent, as is FC Brashear/Hicks 18U. I know Mercado Carroll had both 16U and 18U teams at PGF. I don't think any CA team was at PGF for 16 or 18. The top dogs not being there certainly allowed some other teams to shine. I haven't looked at the brackets in a couple of days, but it seemed like CA teams were nearly gone.
FWIW, Patty Gasso was at PGF yesterday.
PGF pool/showcase games were timed (1:30 drop), but bracket play was all 7-inning games.
