Here is the content of BD/TheAddition's document ...

I should have added somewhere in the document that all hitters are shown at heel plant.
And all but one have the critical element of "loaded shoulders".
Just as shawn had pointed out earlier regarding CO's son.
The girl in orange is my DD.
CO we appreciate you're clips, they have led to a good discussion so far.

Five, could you please explain to me how you were able to post this?
I am not that computer savvy.

Thanks,

Slack in the system is what your son illustrates - tighten things up and watch him hit the ball harder...

Not even close. You're barking up the wrong tree on this one.
Posture is important, of course, but that is not the issue with CO's son.

Does anyone, other than FFS, seriously believe that this video doesn't show a kid who's on the path to dealing with bat drag?

He keeps saying it, but I doubt if anyone else is actually believing it.

ME.

It starts with his feet.

BD, you are missing my point. The hitters you posted (including your daughter) understand posture. It is not a position - it is dynamic. It is creating angles from tightened up muscular system that allows rotational/elipitacal movement. It creates balance and helps the hitter figure out sequence.

It doesn't have to be low position, but it helps hitters figure out the feeling of being engaged muscularily (is that a word?)

Figured I would use this post to also test my new camera.

Here is an inside tee drill we do from a low set up creating angles helps stay inside. The outside tee is set up a bat length away from my belly button (which sticks out more today after the big feast :0 )

I agree that posture is important.
But CO's son has a couple of other areas of needed work.

The drill you posted is a drill my DD does daily.
We call it the Jen Yee drill.
I will try (perhaps wtih help from FFS) to post her doing tonight.
I'm out of time for now, we are off to indoor softball (domeball)

BD ...

For this I simply used the Windows "Snipping Tool" to capture the contents of your Word Document and create two JPG files. I then uploaded the JPG files to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting to create something to post here.

You can do the same thing with a GIF, JPG, or Youtube Video.

Let's review.

Starting with a GIF or JPG.

1: Go to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

2: Select "Browse" and find the file on your computer.

3: Select "UPLOAD NOW!"

4: Enter requested verification strings

5: Wait for upload and jpg/gif to be hosted.

6: Copy the section titled "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards ... then paste this into your post.

I'm not sure what you mean, but it seems like you are referring to reverse-rotating the shoulders.

While you do see more of that in softball swings...

...you see very little of it in baseball swings...

...because it can lengthen the swing.

I think there are better ways of creating separation.
