Our teams assistant coaches check pitching distance everytime we play and then move fields in a tournament. If it is found to be wrong we will let the tourney director know before our game starts. At some places the rubber is permanent, so we carry a pitching rubber, tape measure and tools to put one down as needed and have done so on several occassions.
It is not uncommon to see 50mph+ pitchers in AZ and Cali at 10u...Even seen a couple 60mph at 12u...For reals.....
