Looks powerful, nice work. My DD just started pitching again after 5 years because we lost all our other pitchers to other teams and other sports. Maybe it's a good thing since we are starting new with IR.

Thx & Yep it is good you are where you are... I was thinking you were re-building, like us. DD has always pitched, but we were just playing "Spin to Win"

Here's my question... replant or not... do you think this girl's stride leg is landing farther than it would have if she would've kept her drive leg toes slightly on the ground the whole time? I do not think so and I don't think it would've even if her drive foot hit the ground slightly before the stride foot. I do see where you may gain a little extra ummmmph if the drive foot lands first like in the men's game but I think the men's stride foot is still going to land where it does. I've yet to see someone land with the drive foot first and go further than they would anyway from that replant.

Since you already high-jacked this thread. While she is looking very good, one thing I noticed is she gets "zero brush". Start brushing and she will be well on her way...and just for the heck of it, experiment with sliding her pivot foot along the pitching plate before her drive. DD starting doing this and she seems to have gained some better drive mechanics and it feels very comfortable to her.

Let me ask a different question. Assuming she wants to pitch many more years but probably won't make the college cuts. What is the first thing I should have her working on fixing today?

Posture. She's almost straight up before her front foot hits the ground. It looks to me like she's trying to muscle, or pull the ball through and she leans forward to do so. Instead, she should have a bent and loose arm and it should whip through the release.

To add to this, she needs more lean on her forward drive and less lean on her landing and release.

Just be careful. Many will lean on the forward drive and will never straighten out at the landing. I usually wait to have them lean forward on the drive until after they've muscle memoried the correct posture at release.

M4B's DD leans, straightens and leans again. Have her work on staying tall at her release for now.

Nice work. Does she like this new style?

Observation. Because she is now pushing off from the pitching plate from the left side she needs to adjust the landing spot of her stride leg (i.e. she is crossing over the powerline right now which is causing her to fall to her right. She should have a more balanced finished if she lands on or just to the left of the powerline.

Can't wait for the "brush interference". My DD only really brushes her bicep right now, we need to work it down to her wrist. A December project for us.

This is just a player on my team who hasn't found a PC. Right now DFP is our PC so keep the advice coming. My DD is in another post on here.
