There's something to be said for intangibles making a great hitter also.

Would I teach Harper? NO

Would I teach Pence? NO

Would I teach Mendoza? NO

Those swings are something only they can duplicate because of who they are and what they were blessed with.

Look @ Heyward, guys a freak athlete but he has an inferior swing and he's struggling because he doesn't the extra intangibles to compensate.

Mechanics are great and all but pitch recognition and the ability to put into use what you've learned are just as important.

Personally I like Altuve's swing.

Nobody has all the answers.

Happy New Year to you also Butter

Is there someone I am missing that has produced at the major college or pro level by the magic formula? I will eat crow and delete my account. 10 years and nothing.

As someone very smart on another just started offering, "Put up or shut up"

Typically the coaches that have produced top level hitters are criticized in most of the forums. I don't expect that to change...

Butter,

Who's to say that legit hitters in the pros and college haven't taking this info and put it to use. Nobody knows where or how all hitters were made.

I've always said the best thing to do is take bits and pieces from different philosophies.

There's just certain things I firmly believe in because of the results I've seen personally. I'm sure you are the same way.

I know you have had many influences. And you are right - that is the way it typically happens combined with genetics. So, why is this board using the info from one source as the WORD and dismissing anything else? If Steve Decker came on this board to talk about what he has taught his daughter and others he would be put through grinder and run off before anyone could even benefit from what he knows and teaches.

Even BT saw through the BS and moved on and whiny had a tantrum and spent a large amount of bandwidth bashing him even though the guy has ML hitters in his resume.

I can't speak for the board. I haven't been on here for over a year.

I chronicled my journey with my DD for everyone to see and learn from. What people want to use and believe is totally up to them. I just happen to believe in the Hand pivot point and resistance and it's worked well for my DD and others I've worked with.

The SECRET to ALL of this is that there is no secret formula. Try things and if you like them go for it. But when people ask my opinion on things I will share my thoughts.

I wish more people shared video on here but nobody wants to do that anymore.

I'm going to post some of my DD here probably next week for people to look at. We've had to retrain her after her injury so it's been interesting to start over.

And why won't anyone share video? Cause some clown will mark it up and embarrass the mom or dad just to drive traffic to his site. Only a POS does that.

I agree. I've had my DD's swing dissected by A LOT of people much like Cannonball did with his DD and I never got offended.

I was on here to listen and learn and unfortunately that comes with it I guess.

Easiest thing to do is just stay on this site

And I fkn apologize for that. It was small of me. Your kid has a great swing. I wish her all the success in the world and hope she pays it forward someday
