Funny thing, a few that worship the vid of Braun from the kid's show loathe the game swing gifs of Braun that I have made. I was harassed much about them, even the following year after Ryan was MVP I was asked "why would you use Braun as a swing model?" (Then was decided ONLY Cabrera should used)

Kind of funny. I understand the desire to duplicate the high level swing but this guy is an MVP. What "higher level" is there?

Here's the riddle: Does that swing without steriods = MVP? Not even close in 2014 266/.324/.453 with 19 HRs

Discussion about what steroids do and don't do is pure conjecture, and I am personally not interested in entering that discussion.

In regards to Braun. Remove the name and list those same stats. If that was my son, I would be plenty proud... Is it the best example of the "preferred model"? Maybe not. But sometimes I find the chase for perfection a little unrealistic. Is Stanton's swing perfect? Probably not. But he has $325 million reasons to laugh at all of us...

Miggy's swing is also my preferred model. I am analyzing the same swing models you guys are. Admittedly, I am well behind many of you in regards to experience. But I am trying to learn...

Pain from the nerve forced Braun to alter the mechanics of his swing and sapped his power in 2014, when he played 135 games and posted career lows across the board, with a .266 batting average, .324 on-base percentage, .453 slugging percentage and .777 OPS.

No riddle...and they all...well most PED or have in the past.

Looks like the posey swing was at a low pitch. Would the tee drill not work if set at correct height to match that pitch

This can also be a result of having too much weight on the back foot.

the PED does not , IMO, do much to improve swing mechanics. I dont agree with their use, but they dont turn me into Miggie either. Lets not forget the E in PED,,,Enhancement, its not PCD,,,Performance Creation Drugs. Now, IMO, I honestly believe that the PEDs turn long outs into HR's, improve bat speed and allow users to recooperate from work outs much better allowing for more practice and likely the biggest benefit longevity and injury recovery. But they dont make marginal players great, but they make marginal players solid players and good players better. IMO you have to have that elite talent, work ethic and physical gifts to be great. Throw PEDs on top of that and you get Mr. Bonds, Maguire, etc, etc. My .02
