Here is what Braun says prior to the first practice swing on the left.
FFS thanks for this post and sticking to my question on what his thoughts were. Is there any more to what he was trying to accomplish?

Here is what Braun says prior to the first practice swing on the left.
Here Braun describes that his first step in his swing warmup is to get the upper body working.
Braun's approach is to get the upper body working first, and once he feels that is working properly, he adds the lower body. He claims to be doing the same thing with the upper body when he incorporates his lower body.
If you hang with me, I can show you how once you learn to coil correctly in the correct spot you can focus on the upper only...turning the barrel, delivering the barrel....HITTING THE BALL, and the lower with reactively get the running start you are looking for. It is why most of you "hips then hands" or "fire the hips, then fire the hands" folks can NOT get game swings that actually show that happening. You can NOT think "fire the hips then fire the hands" or turn the lower (like the matrix drill) then the upper, against 65+ pitching. Looking at the vids, (you don't have to share or even admit it), all the girls are top down...pushing with there chest and arms wayyyyy ahead of their lower halves.....be responsible men, don't deny and argue it. Do what it right and help the kids be their best. Coil and turn the barrel.I never had the thought of working the upper body first. This is different than any other approach I have seen....
