This kid Barnhill can really pitch. No earned runs in the last 120 innings! Is she leaping a little, yes, (just like Osterman) but her greatness has very little to do with her flawed mechanics and everything to do with her command of the strike zone, her ability to spin her riseball on three different planes, and her high 60s speed. If you can't appreciated what she is doing this season, then I don't know what to say.

If you think her leap is akin to Osterman you are clearly delusional. Yes, Osterman leaped occasionally but was never flagrant and did never intentionally to gain a competitive advantage. Kelly Barnhill is a cheat, nothing more nothing less. If you appreciate people like that, then you need not say anything as it speaks for itself.

Not sure it matters anymore. Just watched Arizona v. Oregon and O'Toole (starter for Arizona) had many lane violation IPs that were never called or even mentioned. I guess IPs just don't occur at the D1 collegiate level.

Was sitting behind home plate today with NPF player Samie Garcia and other SEC Softball Alumni. She was beside herself with the non-calls on Carlson from Auburn. Even tweeted out a video of her. Fans were screaming ILLEGAL after each pitch when Carlson jumped out of the lane. Maybe that is what it will take. Heard that the ESPN announcers even mentioned that she was illegal but it was not being called.

yep. that is what it's going to take. let the fans scream out loud what the UMPS and commentators see but fail to call, for whatever reason and it's not only KB. there are others as well.

FINALLY!!! Great to hear that. Now maybe something will get done. Now the home team that opposes Florida need to do the same thing. I can't stand to watch Florida anymore because of the Barnhill's illegal pitches and the announcers praising her every pitch and awards.

Here's how Cat pitched on every pitch she threw. She would leap off the pitching plate without dragging the pivot foot (illegal). But we are to believe that a world class pitcher like Cat, didn't realize her pivot foot was not dragging along the ground as required and it was an innocent mistake every time she pitched? However, Barnhill is a cheater because her "leap" is more dramatic than Cat's? Isn't degrees of illegal, still illegal?

You are clearly delusional. This is right of out the skippie enabler playbook. Most moved past justifying the behavior of one person with that of another sometime in middle school.
