You should try purging your phone like I did..forget your flip phone at a tournament 3 (4?) years ago and never get a new one.. :LOL:

Eliminate any rearward movement. Head should be still during knee lift. If it goes back you are back then forward yet back. Try to only achieve forward yet back. I think the gather/negative move is a result of the knee lift and must be limited if possible.

I think you need to learn how to always be working forward. You go back and the opposite but equal action is forward.

At the end of the day you need to move out balanced and on time. How you do that will depend on your setup,first move, gather, etc. I think that might be (the balanced part) one of the few things that almost everybody agrees on whether they teach it or not....
