The hands should stay on the toe line or close to it. What you don’t want is the hands getting trapped behind the back shoulder. Can cause quite a few flaws. This hitter likes to load the hands back first. Something to think about and monitor.

Yes , the hands should be behind the front shoulder, aligned, and over the back foot. I think this creates the Bermuda Triangle of where setups come to die.

Compare Miggy's swing to your DD. Does it look like Miggy could let go of the bat and throw it over the pitchers head. Maybe past second base on the fly.How about your DD? Get a few old bats from Salvation Army. Saw off the knobs. Have her throw the bats with direction, spin and distance. She will "naturally" learn how to sequence her core, stay in posture and generate power without the dealing with timing or hitting the ball. Throwing frisbees with left hand helps too.
