Anyone watching the VT vs Auburn game on now?

Just watching VT’s catcher - trying to figure out why she keeps moving her glove so far up after catching the ball? To me I feel more of the low pitches would be called strikes if she just sticks it or just turns her thumb upward after the catch. Any reason for moving the glove up so much that maybe I’m missing?

I honestly don’t recall now - maybe? However she would catch the ball and then bring her glove up almost even with her face or just above. It was just something I hadn’t seen before with pitches that were right at the batters’ knees. I think if she just stuck the pitches where they were originally caught they would have been called strikes. Even DH, a baseball guy, made a comment about it.
