NEVER heard this one before this weekend in my 35 plus years around baseball and softball..., and would like to hear if anyone else ever heard it..I believe it was the mother of an opposing team that shouted "Get the chicken off the grill, I am ready for steak!". At that point their team had a couple of runners in scoring position so I am thinking that this was her version of ducks on the pond.

Steak = RBI

The progression went from RBI-Ribbie-Ribeye-Steak.

To a runner "I want you to run like your butt is on fire and there is a bucket of water at home plate"
To a runner that appears to be running at less than full speed: "next time don't stop at Stuckeys on your way to second" gotta be from the south to get that one.

True story:
AC: Ump you need to start calling it both ways.
Ump: come here please
AC: You want me to come on to the field? Sure! (AC walks to the field)
Ump: Enjoy watching my calls both ways from your car
AC: What? Did you just call me here to throw me out of the game?
Ump: Yep, did you think I was going to walk over to you to throw you out?

WOW....LOL
