BP vs. real pitching

I believe it has helped me give oldest DD better cage time if that makes sense. I sit on a bucket so trajectory is low. I can hit spots better, and I can get more speed on it. I can throw underhand, but since I need brush interference (on the side of my beer gut) to be effective, I can't get behind the net and out of the way from the short distance.

Throwing overhand made a big difference to your DD's hitting?

Can't really say that throwing overhand made a +/- vs. underhand, but I think just facing live pitches where the pitcher is trying to make her miss helped with tracking, timing etc. Seeing good underhand live pitching is obviously preferred, but if I tried to throw any movement or speed underhand she would spent the entire session dodging. That had a lot to do with why we started with this coach.
