I second what JAD said. I stay away from the bats that are lighter than -10. So, I would guess a 29,19. I buy the old yellow or blue catalysts, for about $50.00. They are as good as any new bat out there.

Be careful when moving up in size and changing brands. I'm finding quite a variance in the listed weight vs. actual weight.

I have a cheap Demarini Tempest 20 oz coming in at 20.04 oz weighed
Demarini Vendetta 18 oz 18.46 oz
Demarini CF5 19 oz 19.5

So I then bought a 30/20 Easton SVR4B which weighed in at ...........22.04 oz!!!

I also have found from posts that Anderson bats run heavy.

One of DD's Easton SRV4B 32/22 weighs 23.7oz., the other 23.8oz. It is a beast of a bat!

My dd is only 8 and playing coach pitch travel ball but is just little bigger than your dd and she is swinging a 28/17 CF5. Weight doesn't slow her down but length does. Her swing is at its best with drop 10 but wasn't a lot out there and dad found a deal. She loves it. Everything she tried that was longer just slowed her swing down, even the lighter ones

We own the drop 11 CF5 and CF6 also and they are both awesome. The CF6 may be slightly end loaded or heavier compared to the CF5.

I personally like lighter/longer bats for my team. Most girls used -13 bats, and we mashed all season. I think it gives the younger girls a great advantage to be able to get the bat around faster. I know everyone will say that you need the weight to send the ball flying, but let's face it..you will be playing teams where some girls can't make the plays in the field. Contact is key, and if you can't get your bat around you will never make contact. My DD had her best season at the plate this year, lots of 2B's, 3B's and her first HR. Her weapon of choice was the 31" -13 Mendoza...great bat. Lots of pop. Just my .02..

I bought the Louisville Slugger Zephyer (-13). We haven't used it yet it just came in the mail. I got the bat pretty cheap on ebay. So we'll try it out and see how they like it. If not good, i don't have much money in it so will try again. If we don't like this one, next one will not have as much drop on it.

CF 5 in a 29/18 is a great bat for 10U or the CF 6. The CF 6 feels a little more end loaded than the CF5 IMO. My DD's cf5 18 oz feel more like 17oz. Her 19 oz cf6 feel more like 20oz. All the top hitters on her spring team used her CF5. Her TB team in the summer had about 1/2 the players using CF5s.

I got my daughter a vendetta and she loves it - thinks it feels as light as her alloy bat we use in the cages despite the lower weight (16 oz vs 17 oz)
