    How fast does a first year 10U pitcher throw?

    My daughter is 10 ('02) and was recently clocked between 41-43. She's fairly accurate with a nice flip change-up. Working on more explosiveness off the rubber and a better arm circle. Hope to cruise at 45 in the spring. She started pitching as an 8 y/o. Best of luck! It's a fun journey.

    Thanks YC. I spoke with my DD's pc last week about making one. She said that the indoor facility she works out of ordered new mats and may give me one of their old ones. I'll be happy with that!

    Good thread! I'm going to make one as well. Has anyone used the "grass" indoor/outdoor carpet with an anti-slip material glued to the underside? I plan on buying a cheap pitcher's rubber and attaching it as well.

    Try bakkasports.com. I ordered custom uniforms for a TB team last year from them and they are very reasonable. They have Teal as one of the color choices. boombah.com is another option.

    I'm glad she is ok Amy. You are such a caring person, they are fortunate to have you as a coach. My 9 y/o DD wears a Rip-it mask. I have two friends who also have daughters that pitch but don't wear masks (ages 10 & 12). After reading this post, I sent them the link.

    Mercedes first 3 teams in states 10u tournament

    I agree. We have a dominant pitcher on our 10u ASA team who throws hard. We have played a MA. team that has a big, strong pitcher who throws as hard and is accurate. In three games the scores have been 1-0 (loss), 0-0 (pool game), 1-0 (win, championship game). It's fun watching the two go at it!
