But you said the elite guys leverage against the middle of the body?
So is it legs or middle of the body?

I’ve explained it 10 times or so. Legs against the hips (middle) core pulling hips etc etc.

it’s a kinetic chain that never releases just tightens. Launch is ‘middle out’ not ‘top down’ or ‘ground up’.

he was a hip turner because he had no other leverage point. Just like you’re a barrel turner cause you have no other leverage point. 😎 your pattern is ABAB.

Plenty of leverage behind the rear hip. Keep watching the Nadal clip. It's right there for you.

I'm gonna have to agree with @Bonesaw on this one.
The core's best action is to stabilize. I've seen it over and over, the core (meaning the abs and obliques) is stretched (pelvis-shoulder separation) and then it comes back to a neutral position in relation to the pelvis. That low back rotation is a killer.
Let's talk about how the shoulder complex is rotated against the upper torso/ thoracic spine instead.

Really? Ok. Once again you are looking for max power not max efficiency. That’s not the baseball swing. The objective is not to hit a HR. The objective is to time a very fast ball and hit lIne drives. Ask any HOFer and they were all about line drives. You gotta change your way of thinking. These guys talk about ‘short to’, being ‘balanced’ staying relaxed and calm. Not maxing anything out or swinging for the fences. Hip/shoulder is powerful, no doubt, but it’s really looonngg. Good pitching eats that up.

The bat lag is caused by the Euler force. It is proportional to the mass of the bat and the acceleration of the bat. It dissipates as the bat's acceleration slows allowing the centripetal force to extend the barrel. This explains the need for "hands to ball/Down to" folks to decelerate/slow the rate of acceleration because that's how they create barrel extension. They need to stop accelerating the bat so the barrel will extend due to centripetal force. As long as they apply rotational/angular acceleration, they will stay in bat lag.
Early TTB applies torque to negate the Euler force and extends the barrel into the rotational plane without the need to slow rotational acceleration.

again, your objective is wrong. At the top levels the pitching is to good. You don’t try for HRs.
