So the question is can you get a good "TTB" barrel path without thinking about doing anything in particular with the hands/forearms assuming everything else (e.g. core usage) is correct.
Forearms and hands can for sure be a deterrent.. if too stiff and not relaxed. Forearms and hands help with direction and stage a good barrel turn. I believe very little if any power is provided by the hands and forearms. I believe if you force the hands and forearms to TTB, there will be a good chance of disconnection

Yes, they help with control and direction of the barrel.. That in itself can be a very daunting task when the core calls on them.

Don’t forget backside collapse and back elbow stall. Nice post Julray.

Do you see Barry's barrel being "connected" to his body rotation initially or is there a "disconnect"?

Thanks, and both experienced personally when I gave my DD bad advice to just TTB with the hands/forearms and body will react appropriately.

I never answer a question with a question, but I said a lot more in my post. What do you think?

No I don't see the barrel path being connected to body rotation, not initially at least. That is where proper hand/forearm usage comes into play imo.

So just to be clear, you believe only the hands/forearms snap/TTB the barrel initially?

Never said that. What I am saying is if you don't use your hands forearms properly in concert with your core your barrel is just going to follow (at best) your body rotation, (e.g. hands "along for the ride") sort of like this (Torres..from that old BBF discussion FP26 mentioned previously):
