So no torque actively created by the hands/foreams in your model but just a reaction to everything else you say should be done. Is that
a correct interpretation?

I teach it like 1chapterahead presented it. DLL. It coincides with the pro cues. Turn the barrel will be the result.

There is an action of torquing your hands to turn the barrel. You can do all of the things you ascribe to (balance, etc) and still not use your hands/forearms properly when launching. Now the question to me at least is which of these things should be taught first body/core actions or using your hands/forearms properly at launch. I am going to be totally honest, when I played the only thing I thought about was getting the barrel to the ball as quickly as possible...hitting was simpler then :)

The issue is that what some describe a proper use of the hands/forearms is not proper.

Don’t forget bakance within the sequence. TDS can expound. I learned from him. It’s key imo. You will never hear your kid say ‘my timing is off’ again. At least I haven’t since I learned.

TBH, balance hasn't been an issue when she progresses forward while retaining pressure in her back hip, but then again, maybe I am not thinking of the same "balance" as you are. I keep talking about my DD, she is not perfect, all these elements are not in all of her swings, but when they are it makes a big difference.

I not against or for TM, I learned some really great stuff from him. But I do not like some of his exaggerated drills. Each person has a different learning style, my DD takes things very literal, like a lot of young boys and girls, or people learning for first time. I can see how his drills can help the experienced hitter, who knows it silly to actually perform the exaggerated drill in a game swing. But even then, TM seems to be big on repetition and I can see bad habits being formed. I recommend keeping an open mind, but also a close eye and being cautious when performing his drills... again speaking from personal experience
