In South Carolina, we flip twice. Once to see who will call it and then the real flip for home. We do this before every game in TB whether it is a pool or bracket game. In pool games you dont want to be home team. You want to bat first to get more at bat. Pool games are drop dead and visitor sometimes get to bat a extra time

Yes sometimes the visiting team does get to bat an extra time, however, in a drop dead situation where a winner has to be declared for seeding, the score reverts back to the last complete inning.

We played a tournament at the beginning of the season where pool games were just stopped and scored whenever the ump called time (always pick visitors obviously), these were pool games that did not effect seeding...but if the bracket was determined by pool play I would hope they would revert back to previous full inning unless home team is winning
