Well I guess we're staying in our current league instead of switching. I think my wife and I lost sight of what we put our daughter in softball for.
We wanted to switch leagues so that she improves as a player, but we took a step back and asked what she wanted to do. She said she wants to stay in the league with the friends and help them get better....I can't believe my 8 year old gave such a mature answer.
We'll still be moving up to 10u, but staying in our current league. We also figure if she wants to get to the next level, it'll be travel ball. We've had many girls in our league do that. Right now my daughter doesn't realize what travel ball really is or entails, but once her bestie goes to travel ball, I'm sure she'll want to go with her.
