Nothing, just get it, break it in and use it until those white laces stretch. Just be prepared to change the laces after the first season. Buy it and enjoy it!

ok, so it's not the just the color of the laces, but its the material used that isn't the greatest? THe rest of the glove is structurally sound? I would hope the manufacturer is listening to these forums to make their product better. like you said it's only pennies more to make it better

we will probably pull the trigger on this glove, then she can get it re-laced with better material in the color she chooses.

And my .02 cents - I'd have gone with the BV1929 first.

I would actually prefer the size of the 1929 for pitching only, but adding outfield and 1B to the mix........2/3 majority wins!

There's only two color choices for ball glove lace, tan and more tan! Black is okay also I guess.

I don''t know. The truth is that everyone likes a different feel. I put in over 500 games on my last mitt (an all Black HoH) and never tightened my laces.

Worst possible case is you get this mitt. After a year or two your DD feels it is a little floppy. At that point, you can put new Black laces that might be a little heavier / thicker / wider, than the current laces.
