When to repair a glove or buy a new one?

My DD has Rawlings 12" HOH softball glove that she uses for pitching and loves it. She plays ball year round and has had it about 2.5 years. Glove and laces are still in good shape as she takes care of it, but the finger stalls are wearing through the leather. Is that something that can be repaired, or do I need to start looking for a new glove. I will probably get another HOH as she really like the glove. If I need to replace, any suggestions about sticking with a softball model or considering a baseball model?

Get another now and start breaking it in. Sounds like the finger stalls can use a little bit (a lot) of conditioning.
