DD is P1 for her team and currently hitting around 6-7 in terms of batting avg but she is a little further down the lineup. New coach this year so we were wondering how her hitting would shake out. So far, she hits in all pool games and she hits in brackets unless she's pitching. I'm actually okay with this thought process. We're actually really solid all the way thru the line up so it's not like he's batting a dud instead of her, and his thought is that when she's pitching he wants her focused on pitching and nothing else.
If she's not pitching she splits those innings in the outfield where she's more than capable, (last season she was learning 1B as another position which she enjoyed but she's really so much better in the grass). No major complaints for us with this setup, seems to have her happy and us so far
