Hitters are different, in this no stride he is drifting forward with the hips. It’s a little different then Marte that RDbass posted or the first clip I posted.

Shawn, I guess my point is 1 of the 2 coils happens with any stride. I spend zero time on thinking about it or what type of coil is occurring.

So is it fair to say that coil is not important in your theory? I know 'bluedog' uses the term meaningful coil, which is created and immediately used. I use the phrase 'max coil'. Some hitters will have pre-set coil while others don't. But as the move out occurs, coil will enhance. Pre-set coil is not something I focus on, but I do focus on what I understand to be the meaningful coil or max coil. I think some coaches will pigeon toe their hitters in an attempt to get them to 'feel' coil. I do not find that to be necessary, but if it works for some, great.

FP26, all I care about is not giving up the rear leg/hip relationship while getting fyb.. The rear leg/hip relationship will then dissipate during the core contraction.. I know you didn't ask (so no misrepresentation here) but I don't use or think of SNF to be a part of the dissipated rear leg/hip relationship.

I think this is what makes it so difficult to find the differences. The clip you posted is an excellent example of a rear-legged swing with a rearward turning barrel. The hitter is creating a corner and is demonstrating a pulling rear hip. I could keep going...... I'm not trying to be disrespectful. And yes, I do realize there are some differences between our systems. But I still think there are more similarities than differences. After all, since you posted this clip, I assume you like it. I know I do. Probably the best way to determine the differences would be to find a clip that one of us likes and one of us doesn't like. Then we can analyze why our opinions are different. Unfortunately no such examples come to mind.

Just find a swing you like, amateur or pro, that is known (that is key..the known part....) to have been taught using "HI instruction"...

 ...sorry couldn't help myself.

FP26, I disagree with similarities within systems.. I would think if that was the case the videos would match.. I have yet to see one match that uses the 2 pivot point system..

Then I guess we have reached an impasse. Here is what we know.
1) Swings such as Brantley's in Post 63 are a fair representation of your beliefs.
2) Swings such as Brantley's in Post 63 are a fair representation of my beliefs.
3) There is no common ground between the two.
