Today my DD's travel ball coach told us that she was going to be his #1. He asked us to work on her arm strngth however. Anyone got any suggestions on how to best go about that with out hurting her arm?
Yes, there would be an Internet site for exercises using surgical tubing. T. Wilson suggested hanging a length of tube from about 6 feet up a wall and having students pull on it.
Other than exercises like that, I would just have her throw from further distances, both overhand and pitching.
Have her take her comforter off her bed and hang it up in the garage.
Then have her stand 10 feet away and throw as hard as she can at it, after warm ups, of course.
Oh, and watch out for mom when she sees whats hanging in the garage.
Long toss is great also.
I bought $20.00 resistance bands for my DD and I to use as well.
Yup..long toss and throwing as hard as she can into the back stop (about 10 times is good) once she's really warmed up. Leg drive also helps with velocity.
