Yeah, but I’m seeing it more and more. It seems every team in the WCWS have one.
Just like 100 mph was rare, now it seems every team has one.
In Rod Carew’s book when he talked about 90 mph as being fast and hard to hit. Ruth would never get the heavy bat around on today’s pitchers.

She is throwing 70? She makes it look easy. She has the coil without resetting. Like Castillo of the mariners, make it look easy.
I’m going to watch her pitch, right now.
She has a straight arm.

Id be really interested to know just how fast they throw vs what the espn radar shows. There have been a couple pitchers in recent years that have mentioned they dont actually throw as fast as the broadcast shows.
Since the rule change 70 is the new 65.
