I understand that this is not in agreement with what MLB analytics tells us is the best way to score runs. But, our girls aren't playing MLB. Give me the hitter hitting the ball hard more consistently. Make the opposing team make plays.

I certainly appreciate the first two on the list, and fortunately Game Changer has them as separate stats.

For our 10U girls, the next two (pitches seen) is garbage. And the last three to me are a bit ho hum. Yes, a sacrifice is nice.

Not sure what defines a QAB on gamechanger but I know one when I see one.
Absolutely.

And I caught it that you were referring to it in that way as opposed to the stat. I just couldn’t help taking a shot at the stat, it was a target of opportunity, lol

When I look at this, I always think “this info/data should be considered”. It has to be helpful. Then when I sort it by QAB I can’t find to correlation to the productive hitters. Why is that..... All I can say is I must not be using it right.

A few home runs look good when they occur. Consistency looks good more of the time.
All 3 dd's look at slugging percentage
with on base average.
Pitcher didnt best them.
Makes the defense work.

My interpretation of
Slugging percentage is
*Reflecting on the contact made with the pitch.

Quality at bat is seperate analysis.

Slugging percentage helps build the line up.

Quality at bat analysis helps individual batters reflect to develop.

During an at bat~
A batter can have either or both
a quality at bat analysis and/or
may also include a slugging percentage moment driving the pitch to the field.

We tend to leadoff with our fastest girl, but since she rarely gets hits, it burns us later in the game. :(

Sometimes those fast leadoff hitters are really good with the bases empty but not so good with someone else on. They turn outs into base-hits and reach on errors with the bases empty but with a slower girl on base those hits and ROEs turn into FCs.

I like to add ROE to my OBP in fastpitch. It is statistically significant how many times the faster girls ROE even at a higher level of play. One bobble and they are on base with 60ft bases.

Here are the stats from our 1st 2 tournaments. It is a small sample size but it is the numbers we have. I am curious how others that primarily use numbers would construct our lineup. Everyone bats every game unless we are deep in bracket play on Sunday. I rated the girls speed as fast, average, and below avg. A couple of the girls only played in one tournament.

Right Here For Now
Honestly, it depends on the age group. First year 12U and below, I'm looking at the OBP because I can score runs on wild pitches and passed balls. At the older age groups, different factors come into play. What age group @softball dad 6?

You have a team OBP well over .500 and OPS over 1.2 at 18u level. You need to find some better competition. What the hell were the scores of the games?
