How often do you strike out?

Most of you know my DD still hasn't been cleared medically to pitch a college game yet, but she has been DH-ing. Running some stats over the weekend, and one popped out........strikeouts. Out of 65 plate appearances, she has stuck out once. And that was in a 4 game series against the #19 nationally ranked school. ( I spoke a bout 3 weeks ago how impressed I was with their pitching, the small 5'0-5'4 girls all throwing 65+ )

The hurt knee is lowering her BA, she was never a speedster to begin with. You can see her favor it down that 60' line. Although I miss watching her working in the circle, I'm thankful she's strong enough to participate from the box.

Enough about that, back to the topic. How often do you strike out?

One SO (swinging) in 34 AB

Needs work on timing. Her live at bat swing isn't as pretty as her cage swing.

Team wise... last year playing a full 16A schedule - AB 1404; SO 185

For Fall at 18U playing 10 games - AB 200; SO 19

To this point our varsity girls are averaging 20 or so at bats and 3k's each. DD has only one K so far which is excellent for her. She's been a tough out this year....unless she's stealing, then she's a dead duck.

DD never strikes out. She is a pitcher and will not let her near the plate. But she does miss it.

My kids senior year she had 175 plate appearances and 20 strike outs with a .383 BA, .474 slugg % and .414 OBP.

Team wise so far, 656 AB and 82 K's.

Someone from the hitting side correct me if I'm wrong, like 2010 or 2011 they changed the K% formula from AB to PA, right?
