Dropping the hands

To really get it right you need to combine a neck slot hand position with the proper tilt approach to contact (see some of the videos above for what it *looks* like; truth is you're not after a 'look' but HOW to properly tilt...but that's another story).

If you don't combine neck slot+proper tilt you've basically just taught her to deaden her hands and swing around her body.

I stated that earlier in the thread., That you can still have problems if the rest of the body is not in proper sequence.

Those are only general weight and length references. They are not absolute. It really comes down to the individual player. Imo until she can use here body in proper sequence to be able to support the extra length and weight go lighter. It will not take away from her performance. Go with the 29.

Back on the dirt...
When my older DD had hand drop issues, we would work on tip n rip swings starting with tee then side toss then finally to front toss. We saw great results from doing this and it’s damn near impossible to drop the hands and swing he bat with the tip n rip setup.

A lot of great advice has been posted. Just wanted to toss this out there as well.
