neck slot drill over and over. That swing rail hitting aid would help too. Stop practicing front toss and get to the tee until she fixes her swing. Having her practice that swing is reinforcing bad habits. The two videos posted by clem are fantastic.

It's starting with the bat resting on the batters neck/shoulder and. They swing from there. My daughter uses it. You can it see it on her thread Allie 9yr old in the hitting practical section. Don't believe the old saying get that bat off your shoulder cue, it's not true. There are many college girls and MLB players that have used it.

First of all good dad/coach! Love your communication together. She seems to enjoy trying and learning. GREAT JOB!

Lots of good advice here. It should be clear to you now it is not a dropping the hands issue. She needs to feel connection to rotation (of the core) and using the core to help turn the bat into the path of the pitch. The turn the barrel clips on this site will serve you well.

To really get it right you need to combine a neck slot hand position with the proper tilt approach to contact (see some of the videos above for what it *looks* like; truth is you're not after a 'look' but HOW to properly tilt...but that's another story).

If you don't combine neck slot+proper tilt you've basically just taught her to deaden her hands and swing around her body.

Yep. Rather then just tell what not to do (don't drop your hands) give her something TO DO.
