Looking at getting a new bat and currently debating on which one to get . I'm wanting to see if anyone has had any of these and what their experiences were . I know a few people have been posting about different ones breaking so I'm trying to get one to last awhile. 2 are DeMarini and 2 are Louisville Sluggers . Just trying to see the pros and cons . First full composite bat . 16/18u.
Louisville Slugger Xeno X20 Fastpitch Bat 2020 (-10)
Louisville Slugger RXT X20 Fastpitch Bat 2020 (-10)
DeMarini Prism Fastpitch Bat 2020 (-10)

I've had a great 'luck' with the durability of the Demarini CF series. I am sure others will say will say the same about their LS. Is it possible to let her swing them all? She can choose which feels best. These are all good bats.

The RXT is on sale at Dick's for $149 (or it was this weekend). For that price, it is a really good bat. Several girls on my team have one and love them (14u).

If she is still growing they both will last until she needs a bigger bat. )

DD has had a couple of those and they all swing different.

She needs to try and get her hands on them and see what she likes.

Coresoftball is the unofficial bat supplier.

I like seeing posts here because I learn things but he knows more then you would ever want to know about bats. Send him a PM.

A better comparison would be the LXT to the Demarinis. Xeno will swing heavier. No first hand knowledge of the RXT.

I am a compulsive bat buyer. As such, my kid has swung almost everything imaginable. Here is my take,...the new Demarinis are NOT hot out of the wrapper. If you swing a demo, the Demarinis will be seriously underwhelming when compared to a Xeno. You will have to put in some work to get the best out of it. Demarinis are 'flex bats' and typically come in right at the posted weight. The Xeno is one of the rare 'stiff bats' and will come in .5 to 1.5 OZ heaver than it should be. If you can huff a slightly heavier bat, between just those bats, I have seen the most balls get crushed with the Xeno. For reliability and value, its Xeno for us.

Oh and now thanks to the post above about the RXT for $150, I will probably be adding one of those to the list as well. Dang it.

We have always believe in the numbers when comparing bats. Get each bat along with your current bat along with a radar gun. If you can get a hold of a blast motion sensor that will help too. Compare the numbers, exit velocity, bat speed, reaction time. In my opinion, that is the only way to compare them. Anything else is just a guess.

My DD has a RXT. It's very close to labeled weight, and balanced. Out of the wrapper it is not hot. Took ours several hundred swings to open up. It's not as hot as the Advanced but it's been a tank. Honestly DD uses it to keep the practice hits off the Ghost. On Hittrax DD has topped out at 69 mph with the Advanced, 66 with the RXT for what that's worth. Everytime DD has tried Demarini's, Prizm included she's made a ugly face and said no way no how lol. She's a Easton girl through and through.

If I were looking for bats, I'd take a close look at the RXT for $149. Still listed at Dick's. They also have 2020 LXTs for $279.
