Straightleg, whats your take on the whiphit stick? worth making one/the investment? Also, any insight on the bat weight issue? she is using a 30/17 but I can move her to a 30/20 if it would be beneficial.

I use the whiphit, ball on the end of a rope, for more advanced students.
Before that we made pvc bats for one arm-lead arm drills. I have them hit tennis balls with that to work on hand path and release.
I will try and posts some pics.

As far as bat weight. 1 oz in weight, goes a long way. Will have to watch her swing some more for that

I have the perfect connection device listed above.

I also have the bat drag buster sold here:

Bat Drag Buster | Baseball Rebellion

I personally like the bat drag buster better and got really good results with it.

SL, curious if you have tried one of those and what you think of it.

I have a homemade one similar to the one you posted. Did not know they had flexible ones out on the market.
Howard invented one awhile back and made one for me.

Seems to appreciate that "turning the barrel" rectifies 'bat drag'.

No need to 'maintain a box'. The hitter here has 'dead hands'. When she learns to use her hands there will be structure established in the forearms, and it is that structure that is currently missing.
