Here is good drill to isolate the middle while keeping the hands back doing stop swings.

I really appreciate all the input guys! I'm not sure I know what to do though, lol.

Stop using the legs. Feel the core moving her and launching her swing. Then I would add preferred style. I do that w keeping the hands and belly button connected during the negative move. Against a stable rear leg and a centered head.

You can shift back a bit or stay centered. It’s preference. But like I said before dont use the legs to initiate things. Keep the head somewhat centered and you will be able to feel the stretch and then will be able to contract that stretch. Video and post.

And get a regular tee.

You lost me. explain further.
If Freeman let go of the bat at the point where he checked where would it go (the actual bat..) ? If the young lady did a stop swing with her current swing and let go of her bat where would it go? Would there be a consistent difference or is there too much sensitivity to exact timing of when bat is let go to be able to use it as an external cue?

Sure he can video and the re-post, but you want the player to have some sort immediate feedback when she is doing it correctly and without know what "right" feels like, it is hard to do here without some sort of external goal (IMO of course..)
