I really appreciate all the input guys! I'm not sure I know what to do though, lol.
You missed my point…
How would the path of a thrown bat (before release, eg Freeman just let’s go from there) differ for Freeman vs the young lady (with her current swing) in this circumstance…?
Hence my SB reference
If Freeman let go of the bat at the point where he checked where would it go (the actual bat..) ? If the young lady did a stop swing with her current swing and let go of her bat where would it go? Would there be a consistent difference or is there too much sensitivity to exact timing of when bat is let go to be able to use it as an external cue?You lost me. explain further.
Is this called the "cast out drill"?Here is good drill to isolate the middle while keeping the hands back doing stop swings.
Keep doing what you're doing, but tell her the ball should hit the net higher than where it left the tee.I really appreciate all the input guys! I'm not sure I know what to do though, lol.
So what's the answer? Who's on first? Where am I?Sure he can video and the re-post, but you want the player to have some sort immediate feedback when she is doing it correctly and without know what "right" feels like, it is hard to do here without some sort of external goal (IMO of course..)
You're screenname checks out!Keep doing what you're doing, but tell her the ball should hit the net higher than where it left the tee.
