To be completely honest between this garbage and my twitter feed filling up with 6th grade girls basketball player highlights so they can get on coaches' radars, I am getting disenchanted with the whole "youth sports in 2022" thing pretty quickly..

Threads like these actually make me glad I coach at a level where a minority of girls play on low level travel teams, and only a couple have true college ball aspirations. I have my own challenges, but the world of high level travel just doesn't sound like fun.

What are the orgs that are the nonprofits? I never realized that.

Being a non profit doesn't mean the org heads can't make money or take a salary.

I dont know for sure but I believe all the teams are run under a non profit status. I know some orgs. that when/if you donate to them it count as a charitable contribution.

PGF in Florida has went to AGL and wrinkled a bunch of feathers because it doesn't work and they select the tournament all stars based in AGL.

AGL allows tournaments to report results in real time. Allows leagues to track and report stats in real time.

From a score keeper perspective, AGL blows... but from the tournament side, it accomplishes a lot that GC simply cannot.

GC can upload to MaxPreps, but it's not real time, and has a lot of bugs...
