To be honest, I doubt any form of ball is played anywhere this summer or even the Fall for that matter.I'm close to the epicenter on the east coast. I've come to the realization that softball if over until next September. B

Only regret is i just bought DD a new bat last week. Could have saved that cash.
In another thread tourny was played in Turlock Ca. 100 miles from San Francisco where 7 million people were ordered to shelter in place. We played USSSA this past weekend in Seminole County, Florida. As DD had been in school that week, didn’t feel too extreme. It was kind of awkward with the elbow bumps in place of handshakes. The new normal I guess. The team continues to practice this week, but we are not attending. Next tournament at end of March is cancelled. I am guessing we don’t play again until July.
We have 85 confirmed cases in Texas and roughly 30 million people.
We lose about 10 people a day due to vehicular accidents. We have had one die from coronavirus.
A 90+ yr old in matagorda county sadly passed away this weekend and the confirmed yesterday he had the Coronavirus.
This is a devastating illness for the infirmed and the elderly, but the price we pay to try to avoid the spread seems high too. Stocks have dropped, people are out of work, weddings have been delayed our kids senior year has been taken and for an unsure outcome...I just wonder if this is worth it.
