I am not naive though, I know posting somebody on here hitting lasers without the model swing will get some peoples panties in a twist.
I was wondering what the real point of starting this thread this was..thanks for giving me my answer.

You shouldn't be "fkn" surprised I am giving you a tough time here because I am usually pretty decent at figuring out when somebody
is trying to start shi*

Julray,

Isn't it possible that the answer really is simply this:

... You can get away with a lot if you are a good athlete, with good hand-eye coordination in particular in softball with the hot bats and short fences....

Regarding the ball she hit against LBS, the angle of the camera may be a little misleading. That doesn't look like a ball that was a low line shot that lifted because of backspin- it has a pretty distinct launch angle. There is definitely a vertical component to the force applied to it. If I JUST watch her front shoulder and elbow, it looks like she is coming through the ball more than it looks at first glance.

Edit: For the sake of disclosure, I was over my head as soon as I stepped in to the hitting side of the site to begin with.

I would be interested in seeing this clip a frame or two earlier... If we look strictly at barrel path, I don't think we see the path that some experts would like to see. Perhaps a little too steep... Not "behind and through" enough... However, this clip does show that she turns the barrel deep behind her (turn the knob quickly, if you prefer... :) ) and is making contact on the right side of her body. She also makes contact on this particular pitch very deep. It looks like slightly behind her front knee. Obviously that is a product of timing on this pitch. To be honest, it may not be exactly what the so called "experts" look for in a HL swing, but I have always been a fan of hers.

LOL... nice cop out! That's my primary goal here, to start shi*, yet your always the person that seems to be caught up in it lately(FFS). Most people understand the point of the thread, if it's above your comprehension level, why bother engaging? Because really at the end of the day, you are the only person in this thread causing discussion to go sideways.

Enough of this childishness.. if others think I am trying to start S#@$, please say so, I will happily delete or request the deletion of this thread.. JC!

Just to get back on track, Romero, odd barrel path/swing plane, lots of success, thoughts?

In believe this was an outside pitch, looking at the catchers mitt and how they are trying to frame it.. idk, to tough to tell. But that would explain letting it get a little deeper. I don't think Romero is known for turning the barrel (knob) deep in the zone.. I could be wrong though.

I "engaged" right at the beginning, the answer that OsDad quoted was me "engaging". I apologize if it didn't fit your agenda.

That was good engagement, but poor execution in your player comparison which is why I questioned it and then called it out after it didn't make sense. You didn't like that obviously...
