We'll actually do this as a drill, but DD feels like she doesn't have as much power.

I can see it doing it for kid's your DD is as well. That is, I see significant potential benefits to batters of any size. However, I've not incorporated it with all my players (just the three who had the chipping problem).

The tip really seemed to help get her hands in a great position to launch the Swing. Just like Doug' s girls, it seems like the low pitches are getting hit with authority now.

No, I wear sweat pants. Lol. She passed me by a 1/2, no, 1/4, no, about 1/16 of an inch. I squeeze all I can out my ht.

Are there particular cues or drills you've found to be most effective in changing the DBSF/leveling pattern? Working with a 10U rec team, it's very prevalent.

Elbows work together.
Allow the front elbow to jut as the back elbow slots.

Swing without trying to hit a ball, working on the feelings, body positions.

That's been my focus, along with getting them to understand (feel!) the hand-torso connection.

Agreed Doug, It doesn't have to be excessive but the TIP does have to come from the body.

Interesting to show up and see DD holding her bat completely different in a team scrimmage tonight. She said the AC told her she can't hold her bat vertical and tip. She and me are not happy.
