The fundamentals is that they;

try to keep the barrel UP (not pull it rearward),
they try to keep the hands and barrel back until their shoulders start to turn, and then they snap/throw the barrel at the ball.

They shift their weight by pushing off of the back foot, and turn the hips before they throw the barrel.

Not a complete list, but the basics.

Bold above, do you really think shoulder turning launches the hands? Or are you relaying what a MLB thinks when swinging?

The player looks like Brianna Cherry. If it is she hits for a high average at a high level. Has anyone bothered to attempt to contact her to offer the clip and ask what she is thinking or trying to feel when she does this? Was it taught or did she just find the feel on her own? Is this a typical warm up or on deck move of hers?

Yes, most of the ULL team does that move before they step in the box.

And, yes they all hit pretty well last season in spite of thinking differently than EVERY MLB hitter.

It could be that it helps them throw the barrel better, but it isn't the best way to do it. Maybe they could hit even better if they did it like the big boys.

Especially the biggest of all;

Interesting. I laugh at most of yours also.

Same question to you as always; show me some factual evidence that proves me wrong. I've presented plenty that makes your ideas foolish nonsense.

I present what they say they do, bio-mechanical evidence that corroborates what they say, and physics that back up what they do.

You just keep pointing at video and saying that it is all different without any evidence.

yea but the difference is that you have never shown a swing that comes close....I have tried all of the zany stuff out there...and the only time I came close to getting off a decent swing was by using the turn the barrel method that you say doesnt work...

But, I will give you credit for showing your work...most of you out there don't even bother...

The difference (for those out there who care) between throwing the barrel and turning it is - the turning happens immediately....throwing is a hold and throw late method....

My understanding has been that throwing the barrel occurred immediately. Hips, shoulders/hands.

That would require instant action from the forearms hands and wrists to turn it....my understanding is that most her advocate pulling the handle and then throwing it which is the same as holding or maintaining a hinge angle and imparting great force late to bring the barrel around.

There is a huge difference that most here have obviously never experienced....their words and descriptions prove it.

I guess we're saying close to the same thing then, with different words.
