USSSA regional

We will be heading to our first ever USSSA regional later this summer. Do teams generally exchange pins or other swag with opposing teams for these events?

They do at the USSSA world series at Disney, but I don't know about regionals.

Yes, and you can sign up for gift bag exchange. Then they schedule your team with another team that signed up for the exchange.

What RHC said is what happens in Salisbury, MD's USSSA WS too.

It also depends on the age. 10/12/14's do it but not many 16's or 18's exchange any more.

I've been to the Salisbury MD Regional WS the last 3 years and opening ceremonies is actually a pretty good time for the girls. They exchange pins and usually have a team towel (small dish towel size) that they all stick there pins to. There is the gift bag exchange which the coaches get all the details during the coaches lunch.

16/18U in Salisbury usually do their opening ceremonies on the beach with a big party.

This is probably the only thing about USSSA I like is there opening ceremonies during the WS.

No. When your girls are hanging out between games, hotel, restaurants and etc other girls will approach and ask if they have any pins. So each girl could just buy whatever they want or if they don't want to trade they don't have to. It's just a good thing to meet some other players.
