Well you said you were shocked so looks like both you and Mike thought the same thing..
Well, when you contributed to the 2nd place WCWS team, and then transfer soon afterwards don't you think going down from a P5 to a mid major your stats would have improved dramatically?

Perhaps it was the EIS over hype machine that contributed. IDK. I'm just a washed up softball dad now and all I have you people!

And i'd set some money on outside of the top 30 club teams in the country, 40-60% of the kids on the national teams go to those schools or mid to lower D1 schools that could have been achieved anyway without spending a ton of money.

And not saying people shouldn't play on national. To each their own. Personally i just didn't see the value.

Yup... very little value for most.

Softball is as big as it has ever been. This 'bubble' will eventually burst... sure you'll still have the exceptions,but at some point parents will see that 'Little Susie' can go to NW Forgotten State without all of the travel dollars.
