Similarities and Differences between Hitting and Pitching, Fastpitch

I am more interested in the lower, but its all open for discussion.
This site brings lots of different perspectives to mechanics and philosophies.
I am currently working with two pitchers with hitting, and would like to learn more about the interaction and conflicts that might arrive.

I believe Hitting is underhand, just like pitching fastpitch. JMHO
