I am not certain. Guessing on the first swing on the change-up: there were 2 strikes and less than two outs and runners on and she was making sure she put the ball in play. I remember last year (or 2 years ago) ESPN made a big deal that the UCLA coach said she demanded all of her hitters make some change with two strikes. The girls definitely think contact with 2 strikes. The two swings use a different lower body running start. Any reason for that?
I am not actually teaching her that big move of the lower half in swing two but she has been using it and I am not going to fool mid/end season. I want a little more evidence to see if it is a plus/minus or neither in terms of results before we fiddle much.
Love the point of contact on that one though. About as square as it gets.
