My Dd wanted the new red super freak (not going to happen yet though) I was told it was the same as the 454 with different graphics but some disagree with that.

DD got a chance to swing the 454 32/22 -10 last Sunday and she loved it. She normally swings a 33/23 Xeno. They had a 33/24 -9 which she didn't like as well as as the 32/22. We are going to try a 33/23 -10 when the rep gets one. She said she is going to miss the distinctive xeno sound, but she says she likes the 454 a little better.

They only had a -12 454 there at the tryouts. DD really liked it though; the second day she asked to swing it for her cuts instead of using her bat.

I read a post somewhere that the 454 ran heavier than sticker. Can anyone confirm that? If knightsb's DD usually swings a 33/23 and found a 454 32/22 to be a good weight, that makes me suspect the 454s do run heavy. What size is your girl, knightsb? Mine is 12 yrs, approx 5'2" and 120. We went with that team, so she is going to need to choose a Worth bat, either the -10 or -12 454.

DD is 13, soon to be 14, 5' 9' about 130 (guess). Did you accept an offer with Jason's team? If so, I know a couple of girls on that team. Good luck.

Another site said it's 1/2 ounce heavier. My DD has the CF5 33/23 (1/2 ounce lighter) and the Freak 33/23 (also 1/2 ounce heavier according to that site) and you can definitely feel the difference.

Yes, she did, thanks! The girls all seemed very nice. We're looking forward to this year.

Hmm, your DD is enough bigger and stronger that we probably won't be looking at a 32/22, so either a 31/21, 32/20 or 31/19. Maybe I'll call around and see who has them in stock so she can go heft them. Thanks!

After using Xenos since they came out daughter picked up a 2013 CF5 and loves it. I grew up on Louisville Slugger and thats all DD knew. Even as a LS fan I can say I prefer the 2013 CF5. Bigger sweet spot on it too....tap it out ;)

I have to agree with Ken. I was partial to Xenos but hit flies with new CF5 last weekend and it and has some pop.

As for the Xenos, we've had to send a couple back that have gotten "loose" between handle and barrel. One of the replacements, a 2012 Mendoza model, got snapped in half by one of our slappers, swinging away. 2nd time I've seen that happen.
