This is interesting. I think I would need to lie and make up a reason that the Doctor has advised wearing it. In the end though I wouldn't want my DD playing for a coach who sees the mask as a problem.
I was just talking with another father about this- At the High School level, I don't see kids with masks taking their eye off the ball but I see kids without them pulling away!

I was watching the Minnesota Wild hockey game last night. Half of the players wore shields. Half did not. Those players wearing shields seemed awfully timid to me. Afraid of the puck or something. But maybe they all had doctor's notes. I don't know. I would not have signed them. Bunch of wimps.
