Many well-meaning folks have lots of advice. I've learned to smile and nod for the most part!I just study the mechanics and listen to people that "know" at tournaments...
I'd suggest adding swimming, soccer, basketball, wrestling, frisbee, tree climbing and any other fun, whole body activities. Keep the fitness to at least 75% fun. When they hit 13/14 and want to take it to the next level, sign them up for speed/agility, Zumba or other fun fitness activities. Unless they're begging for it now, tend to keep your duty as more of a facilitator, transport specialist, money tree... you know--a dad!and when our season is over, core, speed and agility drills, and LONG TOSS, is in store, and they are not gonna like me much
