Posture is important.
This here is "Level Then Swing".
Your daughter is performing the leveling process (aligning the barrel with the ball) by first flattening the bat, and then swinging.
Instead, learn to 'work the barrel' to the ball while applying pressure with the hands ... turn the barrel. In other words, the leveling process should occur as you swing.
To the OP - learn to strengthen the core muscles to stiffen the spine/torso and watch the long swing tighten up.
Controlling the middle helps control the rear shoulder that is right now loose and allowing the barrel to drop and allowing the arms to lengthen behind her.
One of the things I advocate is having a hitter squeeze their core as the lower half begins to drive ... results in a significant jump of the ball off of the barrel ... i.e. power.
