I know that softball pitchers come in all shapes and sizes but I was wondering if there is an ideal height for a fully grown pitcher? Is the taller the better the rule of thumb? This seems to be the case in baseball.
For example, I've heard that the ideal height for an NFL QB is around 6'4" or 6'5". Anything shorter and there can be issues seeing over the linemen and anything taller seems to affect their speed and agility.
Thoughts?
